We grow at different rates and are skilled in different trades. We can’t compare ourselves to each other for we were never the same. When we try to fit into someone else’s mold, it doesn’t fit. It’ll always be a bit tight or a bit too big and we are left stumbling in their shoes. Life isn’t about measuring up to someone’s else standards, it’s about creating your own. No matter where you go or what you do, there will always be someone doing much better than you and someone doing much worse. The trick is to focus on your own lane rather than the ones around you. Comparison is the thieft of joy. When competing is all we do, it becomes a lonely world. True joy isn’t found in competition but rather the ability to be happy for someone else’s success and realizing that your own will come when it’s suppose to. We all bloom at different times of day and in different conditions so breathe, let go, and allow yourself to bloom.
